Organic Chemistry Tutor Features
Organic Chemistry Tutor FeaturesThe developers of the virtual teacher show how each identity will need to do unique tasks for the end goal of getting the students ready for the real thing. The approach of course is to not only teach about the concepts but also how to get in-the-world and apply those ideas to real world situations. The organic chemistry tutor also works on how each of the students will be used to giving a virtual lecture. Some have a mic and it will come on as the students talk so the students can take notes too. The talk time is limited, so the students have to do their job even better than they would have with the real chemistry teacher.Teachers at some of the online universities like the idea of using the classroom experience for the purpose of instructing students. This is because it allows for more interaction between students and instructors. They are able to take turns and the teacher can even record the session for reference later.Another key idea behind the tu tor's program is the way that they are using differentiation to turn each identity into a separate entity. Once a student is able to discern the distinction between the identity of the teacher and that of the student, then the student will be able to complete the tasks correctly. The student can do this by using the process of differentiation to help them determine what is important for them to do next. The organic chemistry tutor will be a very useful tool in helping students do their jobs. In fact, the student can even ask the teacher questions when they feel they need a little extra guidance. The teachers then use this information to help them pinpoint what skills are important and how to put those skills to use.The teacher can even do things like start the student with that particular identity for example and then move them to another one later. The students will really get more out of it this way as it gets them used to thinking of their identities as a series of identities inst ead of just one. They will really get an advantage by using this approach. The organic chemistry tutor is the most helpful thing a teacher can have when working with the students. By creating separate identities for each student, the teacher can actually be more present with each student and not just directing them to work through the material as fast as possible.

The 5 Steps of Successful Academic Habits
The 5 Steps of Successful Academic Habits Fall semester is the ideal time to consider how developing new habits can promote academic success. For many students, just getting started on assignments or test preparation can feel daunting. Were likely to spend more time and energy dreading a task than the time and energy needed to complete it! Developing new academic habits is one way to break that pattern of procrastinating on those assignments youd rather just avoid.New academic habits can improve your attitude and approach to projects and homework. When you can engage with the content as part of a structured routine, youre less likely to put it off and give yourself a headache worrying about it. Our habits become automatic behaviors, so why not shape our habits to promote academic success? The 5 StepsSo how exactly does one develop a new academic habit? Just follow these five simple but powerful steps:Identify a GOAL, something you want to develop as a daily habit.Pick a DAILY ACTION which will help you accomplish the new habi t.Plan WHEN WHERE you will do the action.Perform the action EVERY DAY when you encounter that time and place.Repeat your daily action routine every day for NINE WEEKS.NINE WEEKS?! Yes, plan on nine weeks of deliberately performing the new action every day. Forming new habits requires time and discipline. Research suggests that it takes an average of sixty-six days for a new habit to become automatic. The good news is that with every additional day of repetition, the routine will become easier as new neural pathways in your brain are formed and reinforced.Extra TipsCommunicate your goal to a friend, a parent, or a tutor. By verbalizing our goals, we add a level of accountability. Regular check-ins with your confidant will increase motivation and provide opportunities to share your progress or the challenges youre facing. It is easier to form new habits when we add the new action to an existing routine. In the following example, I eat a snack every day after school, so attaching a ne w academic habit to my snacking routine will make the habit more likely to stick. Here is an example of a simple goal-forming plan for October December 2017:GOAL: My goal is to look at my planner and make a daily to-do list for all of my classes every weekday after school.DAILY ACTION: I will look at my planner and create a to-do list while I am having a snack after school.WHEN AND WHERE: At the kitchen table at 3:30PM every weekday, I will look at my planner and create a to-do list while I eat my after-school snack. On Thursdays, I will create my list at Chipotle at 3:30PM before my AJ Tutoring session. How can AJT help students develop better academic habits? Our tutors are not only experts in the subjects they teach, but also experts in coaching study skills such as organization, note-taking, and test preparation. Unlike some who offer only âhomework support,â our tutorsâ mission is to positively impact their students every dayâ"not just on the days when they have sessions together. To achieve academic impact that goes beyond sessions, our tutors teach and demonstrate techniques for students to practice independently on a daily basis. Learning English and Other Cultures Halloween
Learning English and Other Cultures Halloween by Muireann Prendergast Pumpkins are a traditional part of Halloween in most English-speaking countries.Learning another language isnât just about the new grammar and vocabulary, itâs also about getting to know the different customs, celebrations and festivities that people who speak it hold important. When I first came to Argentina in 2005, I had no idea about the festivals and public holidays respected in the country. To find out about these customs, I had to ask questions, investigate and even expand my vocabulary.Students of English face the same challenges. I often find my classes fascinated by the things I hold important and celebrate as a person from a Celtic country. Chief amongst these festivals is Halloween, celebrated on October 31. If you have ever seen a face carved into an orange vegetable and wondered what that is about, read on.Here are five questions you need to ask to get an understanding of what it is and why we celebrate what we do in English-speaking countrie s as well as some vocabulary to get you started in telling your friends about Halloween.Question No. 1: What is the history behind the celebration? Halloween originated in the Celtic feast of Samhain. Samhain, in old Irish, means the end of summer. Samhain, for the Celts, marked the end of one year and the start of the next. The Celts believed that on Samhain, the gateway between this world and the next world (Otherworld) opened up to allow spirits to pass through. The word Halloween comes from the Scottish All-Hallows-Even (evening) meaning the evening before All Hallows (souls) Day. It was a time to ward off evil spirits while also trying to communicate with the souls of loved ones who had already died. During Samhain, the Celts dressed up in masks and costumes to trick the evil spirits that they too were spirits so that they would not do them harm.Samhain, was also a time to stock up on supplies for the winter for The Celts. Livestock was killed and crops were stored for the cold months ahead. Large fires were lit during Samhain and the bones of the dead animals were burned on them.Question No.2: Today, what customs are observed during the celebration?Today, children dress up in masks and costumes in keeping with the Celtic tradition. They go from door-to-door trick-or-treating. This means they ask for candy (treat) or if none is given, they will carry out a bad deed to the person refusing the treat (a trick). Large turnips and pumpkins are also hollowed out and placed by a window with candles lit inside them to ward off evil spirits. Black and orange are the traditional Halloween colors. These colors symbolize the darkness of night as well as those of bonfires and the fall. Large bonfires are also lit as was the tradition in Celtic times.Question No.3: What are the traditional foods eaten to mark the festival?Due to the fact that Halloween coincides with the fall harvest, apples are eaten during Halloween. These are rolled in caramel and called toffee apple s. Apples are also placed in water and blind-folded participants are challenged to pick them out with their teeth. Pumpkins are eaten on Halloween as pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread. There is a tradition in Ireland of eating a fruitcake called Barmbrack on Halloween with surprises hidden inside it like coins and a ring. The belief is that if you are the one to find the ring you will find your true love in the year ahead.Question No.4: Is this festival celebrated in all Anglophone countries?Halloween is mostly celebrated in Celtic countries of Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. However, it is also a big festival in the United States and Canada because emigrants from Celtic speaking countries brought it to these countries.Question No.5: Is this a Christian or a pagan festival?Halloween has pagan roots and was originally a pagan or secular festival. However, some Christians take the idea that the Celts saw Halloween as marking the gateway between this world and the next world and the day before All Soulsâ Day to mean that it has certain Christian elements also. Here is some further English vocabulary to incorporate into English conversation on HalloweenTraditionHistoriansRitualsPracticesSymbolsDisguiseFrightSpookySupernaturalAfterlifeTake an English class with us using skype, and learn lots more.Online English Classes | Cursos de Inglés | Aulas de Inglês

New Yoga Pants Might Change The College Experience
New Yoga Pants Might Change The College Experience Photo Via: https://tribcw33.files.wordpress.com The yoga pant craze hit college campuses hard and, nowadays it isnât uncommon to see hundreds of females sporting the loungewear on and around campus. The reason? Not because theyâre yoga enthusiasts (usually), but rather that the pants are a comfy alternative to jeans, and give off a classier look than the traditional sweat pant. Its fashionable, comfortable and gives the illusion that you like to work out its really the perfect product. Still, you can almost bet that if you stopped a female to ask her about a yoga pose, sheâd have absolutely no clue how to do it. In comes the Australian company, Wearable Experiments. The company has developed a yoga pant, called the Nadi Smart Fitness Pants, that will actually vibrate when the user correctly holds a yoga pose. Or rather, the pants will create a soothing, âomâ vibration sound, meant to keep the peace in the art of yoga. The âsoundâ is created through synchronized pulsing. When a user is incorrectly posing, the pants will vibrate (in a non-soothing manner) to alert the user so that they can correct it. While these pants are the butt of many jokes, they are also a fun, innovative way to teach yoga without requiring users to attend a costly or embarrassing class. Also, the pants can be worn simply as a fashion item if users so choose, as the vibration is a setting that can be turned on or off through a mobile app. So just because youâre done working out does not mean you have to change the lazy college studentâs paradise. But now for the downsides, and there are a few of them. For one thing, the technology only recognizes four, very well known, yoga poses (Warrior One, Two, Three and Pigeon). However, while these are rather popular, through the companyâs research, theyâve also found these are the four poses typically done incorrectly. Another downside is that the pants can only be washed up to 25 times, something not exactly ideal for the avid workout. Yoga teachers that have reacted to the new technology fear that the pants wonât have the same teachable quality that a real-life yoga teacher would a legitimate concern. Yoga is largely variable depending on injuries, posture etc., so not every person will be able to achieve the same pose exactly. Also, thereâs the fact that many arenât sure the technology will even work the location of the censors (only on the legs), doesnât account for the upper body, which is also critical in achieving correct yoga poses. Even so, there are other yoga enthusiasts that canât wait to see the productâs capabilities, as itâs a new, unique idea that, at the very least, has sparked enough interest to become major news. The peaceful means of exercise and meditation now has new opportunity for users to practice in solitude, something that some will find unhelpful while others will find the new technology very useful. At the very least, yoga might just gain a few followers that either want to learn or are just curious as to what the new technology is capable of. But still, with the rising interest in yoga, the pants do make sense on many levels, and while itâs hard to say whether the product will fall flat or completely take off, the idea is bound to spark some more in the near future, for better or worse. In the growing age of female-oriented fitness technology, with devices such as the Bellabeat Leaf, for example, this is wearable technology thatâs truly fascinating, and at the very least, itâll be interesting to see where it leads us. The product isnât yet available, but itâs something to keep your eye out for (and joke about with your friends) for the next few months.

E-Learning Futuristic Education Resources for Today and Ideas for Tomorrow
E-Learning Futuristic Education Resources for Today and Ideas for Tomorrow This article discusses ideas for integrating new technology with education, what the future may hold for education, and real high-tech resources for students and educators. Smart Phones and Tutoring? The smart phoneâ¦screen size may present problems for students. Most students require a lot of room to perform mathematical calculations. Perhaps they could write on a tablet at home/school, then save a reduced copy of it on their phone for later study purposes. The phone should have a vertical and horizontal scrolling type feature to enable them to go back and review or edit previous work in a connected fashion. Concept mapping is a very useful teaching tool in many subjects and also requires this type of navigation. Voice recognition would be a great way to handle the notation for mathematics. Iâm not aware if there is such software available yet, but if not, it may be soon. Speaker phone is nice for conversation, but a closer microphone (less interference) might be needed for voice recognition of symbols. It will save so much time, and verbalizing concepts is a productive element for the teaching and learning process as well. If the instructional device could interface with the studentsâ PD, then they would be totally free to think without worrying about taking notes, etc. They could manipulate these notes on their own PD to arrange them according to their personal learning style. Students think about things in so many different ways. Enabling them to interact with the concepts personally is very important. In the schools (and maybe even in the home) there may be a problem with the applicability of the smart phone if it was not in some way a âsecuredâ learning environment. There should be a way to ensure that students are engaged in learning â" which could be argued is always the case, no matter what they are doing. Iâm personally not a advocate of censorship, but as a teacher, I have noticed that distractions to the learning process have become a very real issue since cell phones. Itâs not that Iâm bothered so much by distractions (they can be valuable at times) itâs just that many students do not, for whatever reason, decide to use their time effectively. Itâs frustrating to see very intelligent young people âwasting their timeâ on ânet junkâ⦠things that may not benefit them in the future. Iâm aware of screen monitoring systems, but they require the attention of the instructor whose time is much better spent teaching students. What is needed is a semi-close d system that affords the child room to explore, but also blocks irrelevant interference. In a perfect world, students will learn that they control the technology and their ability to learn from it. It should not control them, or draw them away from opportunities to learn and advance intellectually. The structure of the environment is extremely important. Negative Aspects of E-learning Regarding security and technology, let me give you a personal example of possible negative aspects âe-learningâ. One of my wealthy friends sends her children to an exclusive private school where laptops are issued on enrollment. She thought that by doing this she was giving her child the very best. The school had preloaded certain educational software for the students, so she thought he had to work on that particular computer, and since they didnât have administrative rights, they could not install anything. Without her knowledge, her preteen son became involved with some very scary, unsavory folks during times that she thought he was working on his schoolwork. It will take a very long time for their family to get over this incident â" the childâs personal information is also out there. These things should not happen. The school proceeded with their laptop initiative without anticipating problems. Future Hopes for Education Technology and education will soon become mutually interdependent. Each person will need to learn how to use technology to improve their education and expand opportunities for the future. I would like to see the development of community-based technology learning centers (for lack of a better term right now) to connect community resources, families and schools to achieve this level of learning. [Honestly, Im afraid that the schools, with a slow-paced institutionalized approach, cannot respond appropriately to our needs] These centers could provide quality technical support to the schools, information and training for parents, students, and teachers. They could bridge the gap between the home and different levels of schooling. [This gap seems to widen as children get older and access to technology increases. This is the exact opposite of what should be occurring. Parents should be empowered to guide their own children.] Staffed with educational technology personnel, assisting the devel opment of more effective tools for the teaching and learning process. This would be a community-based forum for collaboration, innovation, and technical support. A bank of âbest lessonsâ could be available for teachers or homeschoolers to practice with and/or use in teaching. These centers could also serve as e-learning satellites for distance learning projects as we discussed earlier. Like the public library system began years ago, these centers could inject an educational technology renaissance now. I hope to see many changes happening in education in the very near future. Our children are depending on us. Resources Smartboard, Smart Technologies (https://smarttech.com) Complements As high school teacher who uses a SMART board, from SMART technologies, in the classroom I think it offers a great platform for interaction between students and their teacher. My district has three high schools, so the SMART board technology has been extremely useful for me to communicate with other mathematics teachers at the other buildings. Itâs nice to just be able to write the symbols, and not have to try to type everything up to email it. I think that there is a lot of potential for teachers and students in e-learning environments to communicate more effectively with a SMART board. Criticism I found myself flipping back and forth between screens when I first started using the SMART board. Students had it all right their on their paper and tried to be patient with me as I fumbled around. What is GeoGebra? (https://www.geogebra.org/cms/) GeoGebra is a dynamic mathematics software for education in secondary schools that joins geometry, algebra and calculus. On the one hand, GeoGebra is a dynamic geometry system. You can do constructions with points, vectors, segments, lines, conic sections as well as functions and change them dynamically afterwards. On the other hand, equations and coordinates can be entered directly. Thus, GeoGebra has the ability to deal with variables for numbers, vectors and points, finds derivatives and integrals of functions and offers commands like Root or Extremum. These two views are characteristic of GeoGebra: an expression in the algebra window corresponds to an object in the geometry window and vice-versa.
